I joined Fitness MD because a friend wanted to join but didn’t want to do it by herself. I was scared to join because I thought it would be too hard and I wouldn’t be able to do any of it. I had been limping for over a year due to pain in my Achilles and thought I would get hurt even more. It didn’t take long before the pain in my Achilles went away and I was no longer limping. Another reason I joined is because I had seen a few people in my family die, including my dad at just 65, and I’m positive all the health problems they had were related to being overweight. Then I was diagnosed with cancer myself and knew it was related to being overweight which I had been all my life. Serious wake up call.
I started seeing consistent results, something I was never able to do with everything else I had tried before. Not only results losing weight but every week I was able to do more and that was so empowering. When I first started I couldn’t even run to the sidewalk before I had to start walking, even the light pole was too much. I feel like my whole life has changed not just my appearance. It’s never easy but regardless I can’t imagine ever stopping. I love everything about Fitness MD, not just the trainers who are all awesome but everyone is so great and always encouraging. I wish I would have found this place in my twenties 🙂
