I found out about Fitness MD the summer of 2012 through good friends who knew that I loved a challenging workout. I was at a point in my fitness where I needed more and well … Fitness MD met that need! Fitness MD offered me challenging, tough, heavy breathing & Sweaty Betty workouts!!!
I have always been active. Growing up a dancer, staying fit has always been “my thing”. I Lifted weights and did cardio at the gym for many years as well as being an avid runner… I “thought” I was strong. Well, MD introduced me to a whole new level and pushed me even further. Gotta say, I have to give a hand to the trainers who are constantly encouraging (that’s my nice way of putting it) me and at times I truly wished my name wasn’t Pam!
As my strength was building I began to look for new goals. My New Years resolution for 2013 was to run 2,013 miles by December 31, 2013. I not only met my goal, I exceeded it!!! I did this by running 18 half marathons throughout the year as well as many other runs. I injured my calf in the middle of November 2013 & had to forfeit a half marathon that I had scheduled. I didn’t let my injury stop me. I was offered a bib for the California International Marathon and two weeks later I ran the CIM 26.2 and finished in 4:16!! An amazing feeling!!
In 2014 I haven’t slowed down! I’ve run several half marathons, and even doubling up on some weekends, I finished a Duathlon, a Double Duathlon & half marathon within 3 hours of each event and already have several other half marathons on my calendar, plus a 100 mile bike ride and hoping to squeeze in a couple of Triathlons!!!
I truly enjoy waking up every morning and look forward to my Fitness MD workout of the days. I tell everyone and anyone who is willing to listen or who asks me about how I stay so fit, I always reply “Fitness MD!!”
