I joined Fitness MD in October of 2007. Someone at my Mom’s work told her about it, and she suggested that I look into it. I said “No way, I’m not doing anything like that. A boot camp? No thanks! I can exercise on my own!” Well, a few weeks went by and I think I exercised once, maybe twice. That is when I knew that I had to at least try it out.
It was pretty obvious I wasn’t going to exercise on my own. So I drove up to Rocklin (I live in Sacramento) to give it a shot. I made it through a Fit Club workout. At the end of the workout, Mike, a Fitness MD trainer, asked me how I liked it. I said something like “I got my butt kicked. So I’ll sign up!” I thought the group training/Fit Club idea was brilliant. I love having a personal trainer, and at Fitness MD I get the entire training staff focused on me, without having to pay a ton of money.
Even after just a few workouts with the Fitness MD trainers in Fit Club, I knew that this was going to be the place that would change my life. And although I still have a ways to go, I know I wouldn’t have come this far by myself. I remember when my “before” picture was taken, and I remember being MISERABLE at the time. I hated taking pictures and I hated the way I looked and felt. That has changed now.
I also feel so lucky to have met all of the wonderful people that workout at Fitness MD. I really feel like I have made lifelong friends. We all share a common bond, getting healthy and being healthy. And what is better than doing that with your friends? So between them and the awesome trainers, I actually look FORWARD to working out each morning. Thank you Fitness MD!
