Seth Brainard

Seth is one of our long time Fitness MD members who has now graced us with his energy and knowledge as a trainer. He has participated in numerous sports and athletics growing up and has always shared a passion for fitness. Due to his athletic abilities, he has dedicated much time to performance, proper form, movement and nutrition.

Seth received his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and exercise science form Sacramento State University. His long term goals are to continue his educational growth and obtain his master’s degree. In the meantime, you can find him lakeside during the summers mastering the wakeboard, and in the winters, snowboarding down a double black diamond.

Seth is a great addition to our training staff and is passionate about helping our members reach their goals.

David Kawahata

David has been a fitness trainer for 14 years. David graduated from California State University, Sacramento, with a B.S. in exercise physiology and plans on returning to graduate school in the future to further his knowledge of exercise physiology.

David runs all the race event training (marathons, triathlons, etc.) at Fitness MD. When you can’t find him at the gym, you can find him running the streets around town, at a local little league field, or out on the river fly-fishing his time away.

JD (Jared Duran)

Jared is another one of our Fitness MD members turned trainer. He has a strong athletic background starting when he was young child. After high school, JD enlisted in the military where he continues to serve outside of Fitness MD.

When JD is not at the gym training or working out, you can find him at any lake fishing or in any field hunting.

After discovering his passion for fitness, JD strives to be the best person he can be by helping YOU become the best person YOU can be. He vows to bring his energy and enthusiasm to every class he teaches and participates in.

Courtnie Wysong

Courtnie is our only female trainer here at Fitness MD. She is a firm believer that balance is key, and you should train hard, keep your diet clean and have a taco to stay sane.

She has participated in numerous sports growing up and through that developed a love and a passion for health and fitness. When she is not training you can find her in a local coffee shop working on her health and fitness blog, running the trails, playing whiffle ball, and hanging out with her husband.
Courtnie is certified through ISSA (International Sports Science Association) and is Rescue Academy certified which means she is really patient, a good listener, and can help talk through some of your life’s biggest questions.

Courtnie loves the community that Fitness MD has built and enjoys training, teaching and taking the classes!

Travis Miskell

Travis is a motivated, passionate and caring person. His love for people, exercise, and nutrition have inspired him to become a personal fitness instructor at Fitness MD. He is currently studying to receive his Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology at the University of William Jessup. Some of Travis’ hobbies include playing recreational sports such as basketball and football, spending quality time with family and friends, learning, and reading the Bible. “Intensity yields results, don’t be afraid to challenge yourself

I have always been very passionate about health and fitness. Over the years I have been involved in numerous sports activities including coaching which I enjoy. My life focuses on helping others reach their goals while living a healthy lifestyle. In my spare time I enjoy being active outdoors: fishing, hiking, wakeboarding and snowboarding.

Gary D’Aiello

Gary found his passion for health and fitness at a young age while playing football. Gary played 2 years of college football and 3 years of semi-pro football here in Sacramento. He is currently enrolled in the NASM certification program. He was eager to be the best player on any field at any given time and thus he learned what it means to work hard to achieve your goals.

Outside of Fitness MD, Gary can still be found on the local football fields and parks volunteering his time and energy to coaching football and flag football.

Gary is committed to bettering the health of the Fitness MD community in a fun and exciting way. He is continuing his education of the health and fitness field by taking courses to become certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).

Brandon Faddis

Brandon was also once a member of Fitness MD and has now joined the training staff. He has always had a passion for athletics and sport performance. At a young age Brandon learned he wanted to better the world by helping people. He then became and EMT/ reserve firefighter. His passion for helping people combined with his love for fitness drew him to become a trainer at Fitness MD.

Outside of the gym, Brandon enjoys spending his free time fishing, snowboarding, shooting and swimming. Throughout high school and college, Brandon participated in water polo and swimming which he still volunteers his time coaching at Roseville High School.

Brandon loves working at Fitness MD because he gets to help people better themselves every day.
